Description
Our range of new generation lithium starter batteries are designed to meet the needs of all fuel types and engine capacities. They are specifically designed to handle the harsh environment and stresses a starter battery is subjected to. They have a longer lifespan, require no maintenance and are more durable than older lead acid batteries because they have a battery management system (BMS) built in that monitors the battery health and protects the cells.
The cells used are automotive grade high discharge rated ultra safe lithium iron phosphate cells, that have been specifically chosen for their high transient current ratings, voltage and temperature tolerances. These cells are clamped into a purpose built cradle, inside a specialized battery casing, which ensures the battery is able to handle the friction, heat and impacts that these batteries are subjected to.
The battery case of the 12v starter battery range is a specialized case specifically made for this purpose from a thermoplastic blend that is strong, has a high impact resistance, can withstand high temperatures, and meets the highest fire safety standards.
Intended Purpose:
The 12V 45Ah automotive starter battery is intended for smaller vehicles requiring a cold cranking amps (CCA), or starting current, of less than 500A. It can act as an alternative to lead acid battery models: 612, 621, 628, 638, 646, or any 12v battery with a CCA rating of under 500A where it can fit inside the battery cradle.
