We often receive queries about specific inverters, so we have decided to publish a list of popular 12v and 24v inverters sold in South Africa that are compatible with and that have been tested with our batteries. 12v Inverters: – Lalela 1200VA (720W) Inverter Battery Charger (UPS) |

* 12v Mecer 720W inverter charge setting: This inverter gives a choice of 10A or 20A charge rate. Set this to 10A only if using Lithium, or the charger will overheat. 24v Inverters: – GeeWiz 2000VA (1200W) Pure Sine Inverter Battery Charger |

* 24v Mecer 1440W inverter charge setting: This inverter gives a choice of 10A or 20A charge rate. Set this to 10A only if using Lithium, or the charger will overheat. ** 24v inverter charge setting: most of these models allow you to specify the charge voltages manually by choosing a user-defined battery setting type. This is recommended. Then enter the recommended bulk and float voltages for our lithium battery. What if your inverter is not shown above? Red Pole Lithium Iron Phosphate 12v batteries are drop-in replacements for the 12v deep cycle lead acid batteries typically used with smaller inverter models, and our batteries can simply be connected to the battery cable the same way a lead acid battery would have been connected. Red Pole Lithium Iron Phosphate 24v batteries are drop-in replacements for two 12v deep cycle lead acid batteries typically wired together for use with 24 small inverter models. Our 24v lithium batteries are even simpler to connect to the 24v inverter since it is only a single battery. Simply connect the positive inverter battery cable to the positive battery terminal and the negative inverter battery cable to the negative battery terminal. In our experience, most 12v / 24v inverters should be compatible with our batteries and we have not come across one that was not, but you can check the following important specifications if in doubt: – Charging voltage should be between 13.7v to 14.4v, or 27.6v to 28.8v. |
